Graduate Software / Security Engineer - SOAR, Cyber, Python - Entry Level

Looking to kickstart your career in software or security (SOAR) engineering?

ADARMA are hiring a Graduate Software / Security Engineer who will support our managed detection and response service's SOAR (security orchestration, automation and response) platform by developing and maintaining automation as well as developing third party API integrations.

This is an exciting time to join the business and work on projects at the forefront of SOC innovation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Application and network API development in Python
  • Implementing testing to ensure validate automation content
  • Triage SOAR platform issues and troubleshoot them
  • Support creating and implementing integrations between Adarma and its customers
  • Reporting bugs to optimise performance
  • Ensure automation is up to date with triage processes
  • Obtain feedback from security analysts on the effectiveness of the automation content
  • Provide feedback to the engineering and product team for new features based on new requirements identified


Essential Skills

  • Proficient with programming, preferably Python
  • Understanding of API and authentication methods (SAML, Oauth2, JWT, Basic Authentication)
  • Security background and/or good understanding of cyber security
  • Experienced with Git and VCS (Gitlab, Github)
  • Comfortable with CLI

Desirable Skills

  • Splunk (SPL searching in particular)
  • Jinja2 templating experience
  • AWS experience
  • Serverless framework experience
