IT Business Analyst with IT Security knowledge

For a project at the European Commission premises in Brussels, Trasys International is looking for an expert with experience in business analysis and IT security and data protection.

Your main responsibilities as Business Analyst:

• Collect business needs;
• Write functional specifications/requirements and have them validated ans endorsed by the business units;
• Analyse business models and processes, model business processes and propose process improvements/optimizations;
• Assist in project initiation and business case documents;
• Assess functionally potential reusable solutions;
• Write and perform test cases and test reports;
• Draft meeting minutes;
• Perform ans assist risk analysis and security concerns.

Your main responsibilities as IT security officer:

• Provision of security studies associated with information system projects, especially security plans, in cooperation with the IT project team and the business units, following both the IT security and the data protection guidelines, as well as the methodologies, of the client.
• Guidance and coaching on IT security and data protection standards and methodologies;
• Liaising with central IT security teams:
• Security assessments of information systems;
• Security gap analysis;
• Evaluations of security products and tools for information systems;
• Assistance in the implementation of IS security and data protection policies;
• Security specifications for information systems;
• Management of security tests.

Requirements

• You have a Master's level or 5 years of higher education in Information Technology or equivalent by experience;
• You have at least 13 years of experience in IT;
• Excellent analytical skills – minimum 5 years of professional experience as Business Analyst;
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in both English and French;
• Good knowledge of IT project management methodologies, especially PM²;
• Strong capacity in preparing and writing business analysis document;
• Good ability to manage meetings in a multi-cultural environment;
• Good knowledge of information systems matters;
• Good knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, Agile);
• Good knowledge of analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case diagram, state
  diagram, entity relationship model etc.);
• Good knowledge of BPMN and UML;
• Knowledge of ITIL;
• Capability to speak to business and technical audiences;
• Good capacity to give high level presentations;
• Ability to apply high quality standards;
• Proven track record/experience in the field of cyber security of at least 1 year;
• Knowledge on the European data protection regulation (GDPR) and related methodologie;
• Knowledge of IT security test tools (such as HP fortify) and procedures.

Nationality and Security Clearance

As a Personal Security Clearance of level "EU SECRET/SECRET EU" might be requested for this profile, only candidates with a valid EU citizenship will be taken into consideration.
