We are currently seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst who will be responsible for supporting the production of SearchLight intelligence Products. The ideal candidate will be an early career Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst or have the relevant skills to develop in the role, and have a keen interest in broadening their skills, knowledge and experience within an Intelligence environment.

The ideal candidate will preferably be based in Texas, US.

Role and Responsibilities

• Write Intelligence Updates to support the Photon Team’s production of SearchLight Intelligence
• Support the creation of client-facing threat profiles available in the SearchLight portal
• Support client Requests for Intelligence (RFIs) as needed
• Support research into cyber threats drawing on multiple sources including primary and closed sources
• Share knowledge, to support all Photon team members
• Support the Cyber Threat Intelligence Leads in ensuring team goals are met

Requirements

• General understanding and deep interest in both cyber security and intelligence analysis
• Demonstrated writing ability
• A numerate degree or equivalent education (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or languages) or equivalent professional experience
• Awareness of cybersecurity standards and frameworks e.g. ISO27001, NIST, CIS, OWASP, SANS
• Inquisitive and curious mindset when it comes to threat identification
• An interest in applying skills within a cyber threat intelligence focused team
• Willing and eagerness to learn

Desirable

• Coding skills with knowledge of Python or Java, experience with Jupyter Notebooks is a plus
• Foreign language skills, especially key languages (Russian, Mandarin, Farsi)
• Up-to-date insights into current exploit techniques, vulnerability disclosures, data breach incidents, and security analysis techniques, combined with the understanding of the potential impact on an organization’s security posture
• Familiarity with structured analytic techniques for intelligence analysis
• CompTIA Sec+, or similar entry level certification
