Our team builds new experiences for Amazon Music listeners. We help our customers discover up-and-coming creators, while also having access to their favorite music and podcasts. We build systems that are distributed around the world, spanning our music apps, web player, and voice-forward experiences on mobile and Amazon Echo devices, powered by Alexa. Amazon Music products support our mission of delivering audio entertainment in new and exciting ways that listeners love.

Amazon Music’s New Projects team is looking for founding team members across a variety of functions, including software engineering/development, product, marketing, design, and more. Come make history, as we launch new projects for millions of listeners.

Basic Qualifications

· BS degree in computer science, computer or electrical engineering, mathematics or equivalent experience.
· 3+ years experience in creating, managing and implementing test plans
· 3+ years experience automating test cases using at least one language - Java, C#, Python
· Scripting experience using Perl/JavaScript
· Understanding of QA processes and concepts including test case preparation and testing methodologies
· Experience generating and communicating development metrics
· Experience working with product owners defining and refining user stories
· Experience testing and writing acceptance criteria for user stories in an agile development environment (e.g. SCRUM/XP/Kanban)

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
· Strong organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously and are able to synthesize the results.
· Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness.
· Experience in a senior IC or lead role in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering or Software Testing.
· Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.
· Experience developing in a Linux environment and in utilizing virtual machines.
· Strong sense of ownership, customer focus and ability to dive deep into details
· Collaborate with product teams to develop new features with an eye on security
· Assist in vulnerability analysis and incident response
· Perform security reviews
· Evaluate and recommend new security tooling and technologies
· Develop technologies for automated vulnerability detection
· Participate in security operations support
· Develop, interpret, and implement security policies and procedures
· Develop and deliver general security awareness training
