About the Role:
Protecting the privacy of our community is crucial to Twitch. The growing Privacy team is responsible for solving global privacy challenges and engendering trust with our users and partners. We need the right people, policies, products and tools to help us achieve that mission. We are looking for a high talent, innovative privacy professional to help us achieve that goal. In the Senior Privacy Manager, Data Governance role, you will report to the head of privacy for Twitch. As a core member of the privacy team, you will form and operationalize policies and processes for personal data management. You will work with a cross functional team composed of legal counsel, engineers, product managers, data scientists, customer service agents, and more.
You Will:
· Work with important partners (including Data Platform, Trust & Safety, CX) on privacy strategies for Twitch.
· Drive development, implementation, and maintenance of data governance policies and processes - including but not limited to personal data classification, retention, storage, transfer, and de-identification.
· Work with product managers and engineers to build data governance requirements into Twitch's products and data systems.
· Perform risk assessment relating to data governance, work with the team to design and implement risk mitigation strategies.
· Ensure operating effectiveness of data governance policies and controls.
· Develop data governance training for a diverse audience.
· Understand privacy opportunities and how they can be applied within Twitch and for the Twitch community.

Basic Qualifications


You Have:
· 8+ years of work experience in Privacy, Data Governance, Technical Program Management.
· Expertise with privacy and data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD.
· Knowledge of data governance industry best practices.
· Demonstrated successful team and project management with medium-large-scale projects, across non-technical and technical teams.
· You care about the details and strive for operational excellence.
· You are a tireless advocate of the needs of our customers - both our creators and viewers.

Preferred Qualifications


Bonus Points:
· Experience in media, digital consumer products, advertising.
· IAPP privacy certification.
· Ownership and bias for action. One of your favorite things to do is to launch, learn and improve large programs. You know what matters most to customers and can simplify requirements to provide benefits to customers quickly. You identify opportunities and step up in several areas to turn those opportunities into realities.
· Data-centric and analytical. You have experience using metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of value. You also use your analytical skills and ability to dive deep to develop a nuanced understanding of your product and customers, and to create thoughtful strategies. You also have an ability to make high-quality high impact decisions in the absence of data and figure out how to gather data (through experiments, tests, etc) to support your decisions.
· Collaboration skills. You have an ability to work across departments and across marketplaces to influence senior leaders. You quickly earn the trust of people you work with. People enjoy and have fun working with you.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $120,000 - 200,000 yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
