Security Engineer

Dark Wolf Solutions is looking for Security Engineers with multiple experience levels, from Junior to Subject Matter Expert (SME). Security Engineers will work on a collaborative team to build a culture of security-first development and IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will design an enterprise wide security approach to Continuous Authorization to Operate (ATO), based on National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF), across on premise and hybrid cloud environments. The position will be located in the DC Metro/Northern Virginia Area and require an active security clearance. Level of security clearance required will be commensurate on years of experience, with a minimum of a Secret clearance and going up to TS/SCI level.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant experience in security engineering
• Applicable experience developing security standards to harden the IT environment
• Experience coaching teams on implementing the developed security standards across the organization
• Experience engineering, implementing, and monitoring security measures that meet and exceed Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) High requirements 
• Experience maintaining currency of security monitoring tools and profiles across infrastructure and development
• Previous experience ensuring security scanning and dependency checking tools are maintained in the CI/CD pipeline
• Hands-on knowledge of ensuring the intrusion prevention, detection, and monitoring tools are operational and up-to-date
• Comfortability in taking the lead on the Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) 
• Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or related discipline.
• US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance or  TS/SCI security Clearance
• Willing to work onsite in the Northern Virginia area

• Strong leadership skills
