Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space Mission Systems (SMS) is seeking a highly skilled professional to serve as a Mission DevSecOps Senior Manager in Seal Beach, CA. 

Our multi-disciplinary team focuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of next-generation, mission-focused technologies, products and services for a variety of customers.  Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal authoring, architecture, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration.  You will provide project and technical leadership and ensure modern, best practices across programs and product lines, in a highly dynamic, collaborative environment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leadership of a multi-skilled team in proprietary areas.
• Lead significant, highly sophisticated modernization and automation of heritage integration.
• Conduct continuous personnel reviews and performance guidance.
• Act as technical consultant for program decisions.
• Provide consistent communications with customer and user communities for our products.
• Provide oversight for technical and cost baselines of proposals and bids for future architecture activities.
• Hire additional personnel when required by the programs.
• Continue to develop top talent.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Work Authorization:

This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's Degree or higher.
• 5+ years of experience managing teams.
• 2+ years of experience with DevSecOps (examples Ansible, Chef, cyber applications).
• 1+ years of experience interfacing directly with suppliers, external customers, and program management.
• 1+ years of experience with Agile development.

           

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Software expertise.
• Experience with networks and computing infrastructure.
• Experience integrating multiple complex systems into customer-constrained architecture.
• Strong experience with mission integration and test, vehicle operations.
• Strong experience with DevSecOps, industry standards, processes and tools, CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven skills leading or managing development engineering teams.
• Solid understanding of budget and schedule management.
• Ability to manage teams on multiple significant program efforts simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Top Secret/SCI or T5 clearance (formerly known as an SSBI).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.  Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Summary pay range: 166,600 – 225,400
