Lucid is looking for an experienced privacy attorney to join our legal team.  This role will help business leaders and stakeholders in the management and handling of privacy and cybersecurity matters and will be a key member of the legal team.

Role

  • Assist in enhancing Lucid’s privacy and cybersecurity programs for jurisdictions throughout the world
  • Assist in driving privacy compliance for the appropriate business and functional leaders and their teams
  • Provide practical and actionable advice to business and engineering teams on incorporating privacy into products and adopting innovative privacy solutions 
  • Counsel on privacy and cybersecurity incident preparedness and response management
  • Research and track global privacy and security legislation, evolving regulations, and enforcement 
  • Update and maintain privacy and cybersecurity policies worldwide
  • Act as subject matter expert for contractual privacy and data safeguard clauses in Lucid’s third-party relationships
  • Coordinate with regulatory and government officials at various levels, provide required notices and respond to government inquiries
  • Develop and implement training regimens for privacy topics

You Bring

  • Flexibility, a positive attitude, a sense of humor, and the ability to constructively engage and work with people throughout the world
  • Strong knowledge of global privacy laws including the United States and Europe
  • Experience with helping clients establish and maintain GDPR compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a complex workload while maintaining priorities and proactively anticipating issues
  • Consistent good judgment and ability to apply legal knowledge and practical advice to help solve important business challenges
  • Strong execution and project management skills
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal skills with the ability to present information/complex legal matters clearly and concisely
  • Juris Doctor and membership in good standing in at least one state bar is required
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience at a law firm, in-house corporate or consulting environment with evidence of exceptional ability
  • Certified International Privacy Professional Certification (CIPP) is strongly preferred
