Cybersecurity Operations Solution Architect

The Opportunity:  

Cyber threats are evolving and constantly attacking public sector technology assets with complex and increasingly sophisticated methods. The nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to any organization. With diverse technology and a constantly changing threat and risk landscape, how can organizations understand their risk exposure and how to mitigate risks? The answer is you.

As a Security Operations Solution Architect for Booz Allen clients, you will be at the frontlines of defending US Government client operations from sophisticated cyberattacks. Bring your expertise as a seasoned Security Architect who knows how lead technical solutions through the development lifecycle and into operations. You will lead solution architecture activities during solution ideation, capture solution design, prototype development as necessary, and ensure solutions provide clients with expected outcomes. You will work with proposal teams to create conceptual architectures for US Government clients in addition to delivering architecture service directly. You will utilize RMF and architecture design expertise to help establish the business case for discrete cyber solution as well as define the vision and requirements, in conjunction with the engineering and operations teams, for broad solution architectures supporting client security operations needs.

You Have: 

  • 7+ years of experience in Cybersecurity

  • 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Solution Architecture

  • Experience leading successful cross-functional efforts across cyber teams

  • Experience integrating organizational risk and threat models into technical architecture roadmaps

  • Experience researching and identifying appropriate cybersecurity solutions and services, producing technical documentation and training materials, and supporting implementation and administration of cybersecurity solutions

  • Knowledge of cyber defense policies, procedures, and regulations

  • Ability to work with and guide senior leaders to ideate, build, and execute cybersecurity capability maturation

  • Ability to collaborate effectively to incorporate Cybersecurity solutions and develop high quality implementation plans and roadmaps

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree 

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with GOGO and COCO delivery models

  • Experience with integration of MSSP offerings or managing MSSP cyber operations

  • Knowledge of technical offensive or defensive cyber capabilities

  • Ability to think critically and display thought leadership

  • Ability to grasp complex problems quickly, draw logical conclusions, make sound decisions, develop solutions, and drive closure

  • Ability to work with and guide senior leaders, including CISO, CIO, and CTO, and executives to ideate, build, and execute cybersecurity architecture maturation

  • Ability to brief technical and non-technical audiences and communicate security architecture concepts and technologies

  • CISSP, ISSAP, or GDSA Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
