The Opportunity:
As a cyber mission specialist, you understand the value of hunt-forward operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. We’re looking for a cyber mission specialist like you to apply your skills in cybersecurity risk assessments and impact our nation’s security. In this role, you’ll be counted on to help understand cyberspace capabilities to evaluate potential weaknesses as well as the effectiveness of mitigations for cyber security solutions. You’ll work with your team to leverage cyberspace operations systems to aggregate threat feeds that inform briefings for senior leadership aligned to our nation's security.
This is an opportunity to use your research and analysis skills to adequately assess and inform operators and senior leadership on dynamic adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures for our client. Your role will be vital in the development of operations plans to support command and control. You Have:
- 4+ years of experience with guiding a client through the entire Risk Management Framework (RMF) process
- Experience with interpreting security controls and requirements
- Experience with developing and interpreting technical specifications, plans and schedules, system diagrams, and network diagrams to assess control satisfaction
- Experience with using security tools, including the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) system and Nessus
- Experience with developing deliverable technical documents and reports
- Knowledge of related information technology concepts, including firewalls, data encryption, or authentication, physical security assets, and security best practices
- Ability to communicate to system developers, sustainment teams, and other stakeholders
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
- Security+ Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with security tools and devices, including intrusion prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, or penetration tools, or object-oriented programming languages, including Java or Python
- Experience with zero trust best practices and methodologies
- Knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Committee on National Security Systems Instruction, including NIST SP 800-60, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-37, and CNSSI 1253
- TS/SCI clearance
- Master's degree
- CISSP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
