We’re looking for an experienced Manager, Security Engineering & Operations as part of our Security and Trust Team who is excited to change how we practice and deliver a secure and compliant customer data platform hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS). Our Security & Trust charter is to influence and work alongside strategic partners across the company to build and grow our secure cloud products and services. Things you will doKey responsibilities:- Inspire, build, lead, and grow a successful security engineering team with a track record of delivering.- Set and execute on team strategy, and share context by elaborating the “why”, empower everyone to achieve their best work, and drive execution of technical projects while setting clear expectations. Lead effectively through outcomes rather than tasks.- Ready from your first day to lead an Incident Response team and you’re cool in a crisis.- Provide technical leadership for building security tools and infrastructure to analyze, deploy, manage and automate security controls across Treasure Data products.- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, IT and other partners to achieve shared objectives, provide strategic insight, and lead continuous improvement efforts.- Partner with Security Engineers, Engineering Managers, and Product teams to prioritize secure software development efforts in support of scalable management of security controls for Treasure Data.- Build and lead critical security programs such as Vulnerability & Threat Management, Anti-phishing, Endpoint Detection, Data Protection, Intrusion Detection, Certificate Management, Incident management, Insider Risk, Forensics, Application and Cloud Infrastructure security.- Identify gaps in processes or tooling and provide actionable improvements in technology and policy governance.- Operationalize security tooling, creating runbooks and managing tool health.- Research and keep current on latest emerging threats, attack patterns, and adversaries.- Track remediation activities across various business units.- Report on program effectiveness through KPIs and metrics to senior leadership.
Your background and skills will include- BS degree in Computer Information Systems or related field.- 10+ years of relevant Cyber Security operations and engineering experience.- You have a low ego and bring a high degree of empathy.- Experience building and/ or leading a technical security engineering team (SOC, Application and Infrastructure).- Practical understanding of Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Application and Cloud Security principles.- Practical knowledge of security related technologies and their functions (DLP, IDS, IPS, EDR, IRP, FW, WAF, SIEM, etc.)- Practical knowledge of a variety of attack patterns, threats, malicious actors, exploits, and common vulnerabilities.- Deep expertise in software development with elements of security is required. - Experience with cloud infrastructure, including common security challenges and/ or solutions related to cloud infrastructure and services in AWS is required.- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and working on multiple projects simultaneously.- Experience writing and building software solutions using common programming languages like Java, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Go, etc.- Experience with Cybersecurity Frameworks including NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, CIS Top 20, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP Top 10 and CWE Top 25 Framework, and Cyber Kill Chain.- Practical knowledge of crypto, authentication and authorization protocols and standards, including SSL/TLS, SAML, OAuth, JWT Tokens.- Experience producing concise and quality technical documentation and reports.- Ability to plan in quarters, and also have experience planning in years.- Ability to collaborate and provide clear point of view to multiple teams, ensuring results are aligned with company business objectives and delivered within planned timelines.- Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and ability to work with deadlines.- Excellent communication and presentation skills, and experience presenting to management.- Strong desire to add to our culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
