The Role
We are seeking a talented Cybersecurity Leader to drive the cybersecurity implementation for Optimus Ride self driving vehicles spanning vehicle, cloud and client (mobile/web) software. The candidate will drive collaboration across multiple disciplines with software teams (vehicle, cloud, mobile, web), hardware teams and systems teams to develop an end-to-end cybersecurity plan. The candidate will drive security certification activities and will be presenting the cybersecurity solution in front of our customers, partners and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop end-to-end cybersecurity plans spanning vehicle, cloud and client (mobile/web) applications.
  • Use industry standard cybersecurity frameworks for evaluating and generating vehicle cybersecurity requirements 
  • Integrate cybersecurity into software development process 
  • Design and architect a secure CI/CD pipeline from build systems to cloud deployment for securely deploying vehicle software 
  • Work closely with hardware suppliers to utilize chip level security features like secure boot, trusted execution and hardware accelerated cryptography 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience 
  • Experience with Embedded Linux and/or QNX operating system 
  • Excellent software development skills using C/C++ 
  • Experience developing cybersecurity plans and requirements for connected devices, cloud services and/or automotive components 
  • Experience developing cybersecurity threat models, device to cloud authentication mechanisms, certificate management and code signing 
  • Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English 

Bonus

  • Experience working with external bodies for product security certifications
  • Knowledge of Automotive cybersecurity standards ISO 21434 and SAE J3061
