The Incident Responder and Investigator is responsible for improving security posture by preventing and mitigating security threats through developing and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems for the infrastructure and data. This also includes responding to alerts and security incidents by providing full analysis and forensics as well as contributing to the development of security plans, policies, procedures, and processes.

About this role:

  • Securing our customers’ private information is essential to our business success. As our Information Security Incident Responder and Investigator, you’ll manage monitoring and alerting and perform forensics on information security related incidents in a highly remote cloud environment. We’re looking for someone who is experienced with data and audit forensics, infosec concepts and tools such as DLP, data mapping, IDS/IPS, firewalls, VPN, SIEM, cloud technologies such as Google and AWS, and incident handling.

What you’ll do as an Incident Responder and Investigator at Notarize:

  • Assist with data discovery, access, and mapping
  • Manage and maintain security baselines, procedures, and best practices
  • Ensure that the organization's data and infrastructure are monitored to provide maximum and efficient visibility
  • Run or create system related reports, communicate with associated departments, and additional team support as neededPlan, design, develop, manage, and maintain forensics, logging, monitoring, and incident response tools with an emphasis on cloud technologies
  • Respond to and analyze all system and network security breaches
  • Respond to and analyze anomalous system and network activity
  • Create presentable incident reports including root cause analysis, timelines, and evidence gathering/handling

What we’re looking for:

  • 4-6 years of work experience with incident detection, incident response and forensics, and cloud infrastructure security
  • Experience with cloud security tools and systems (functionality and maintenance) such as PaloAlto, Sophos, Sumo Logic, AWS, OKTA, GSuite, MDM
  • Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking/malware techniques
  • Experience with security frameworks, such as NIST and/or certification programs, such as CSA Star, FedRAMP,  HITRUST, and ISO 27000
  • Ability to develop security baselines and procedures
  • CCSP, CCSK, GCFA, CHFI, AWS Security Specialty, or other related certifications preferred
  • Thoughtful communication and collaboration skills, especially in a highly remove environment
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
