Head of Cyber Governance, Risk and Controls

Salary: National - £100,000 – £115,000, London - £130,000

We are currently seeking a Head of Cyber Governance, Risk and Controls to be a part of our innovative Cyber Security department!

This is truly an outstanding opportunity as you will be leading and running the Cyber security education and training function, reporting and operations function and the governance, risk management and associated controls required to run the Aviva Group Security function.

A bit about the job:

Within this role you will be responsible for defining and maintaining the cyber risk management framework including policies, standards and controls and deciding how best to engage all Aviva employees regarding cyber education and training to limit the likelihood of a successful cyber-attack. You will also decide what metrics are used to effectively to manage cyber risk across Aviva and how best to service the demand coming into CISO from other areas of Aviva to achieve the most efficient and secure customer outcomes.

You will be driving the standardisation of risk processes across the CISO team and wider into local market teams.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong background in risk as well as leadership experience and evidence of delivering through others

  • In depth knowledge of cyber risk management principles and practices and strong knowledge of cyber security and the controls needed to mitigate cyber risk

  • Able to work collaboratively and effectively with teams across multiple technical and non-technical subject areas as well as have the ability to influence and deliver in a large organisation

  • Ability to prioritise multiple complex activities simultaneously to short timescales

  • Experience working with all levels and communicating complex governance, risk and controls issues to a range of audiences

  • National salary between £100,000 - £115,000, London salary £130,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications,
