Job Description

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you integrate our software team, developing new smart city products and applications.
You realize an industrial PhD using Artificial Intelligence in the field of IoT cybersecurity for edge computing devices.  This PhD will be achieved in partnership with the the Security and Performance of Networked Systems research group within UCLouvain (Belgium) over a period of 48 months.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • With the support of Pr. Sadre (UCLouvain), Lacroix security architect and Engineering Manager, you accomplish a PhD thesis in an industrial environment.
  • You participate to tests, demonstrations and software development on edge computing devices.
  • Your report work evolution on a regular basis.

Qualifications

  • Master degree in engineering, electronic or IT, or equivalent through experience.  This diploma must have been obtained after 2014.
  • Excellent competences in software design, cybersecurity and AI matters.
  • Solutions, quality, innovation and results oriented, with good communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, hands on, autonomous, rigorous and flexible.
  • Fulfillment of UCLouvain doctorate admission requirements (see https://uclouvain.be/en/study/inscriptions/doctorate-and-doctoral-training.html)
  • Very good command in spoken and written English.
  • Good working knowledge in spoken French is a plus.
