Senior Security Engineer

This role is for an experienced Senior Security Engineer to specify, own and drive further improvements in how film and TV content is protected at scale within Prime Video’s AWS infrastructure and internal services, with future expansion to providing content security services to other organisations within Amazon.

A day in the life
You will conduct security assessments of new and existing PV AWS content services, and design and use automated methods to ensure PV’s security standards are continuously met. You will help PV’s development teams to build securely. You will always be looking for enduring and scalable solutions.

About the hiring group
The Prime Video Security team are responsible for securing Prime Video customer data, services and digital content, and support the business in providing the highest levels of customer and content provider (Studio) trust. The Content Protection function within Prime Video Security is responsible for the security of content (both Amazon Studios and 3rd party Studios) both within Prime Video’s AWS infrastructure and when delivered to customers over the Internet to all the different device types that we serve, such as Amazon Fire TV devices, connected TVs, set top boxes, phones, tablets, PCs and games consoles.

Job responsibilities
· Be the technical lead within Prime Video for the security of content on Prime Video’s AWS infrastructure and internal services
· Analyse the security of new and existing PV content systems, assess risks and recommend improvements where needed
· Develop automated methods to ensure PV’s content systems are continuously secure
· Provide security guidance and leadership to PV development teams

Basic Qualifications

· Significant knowledge and hands-on experience of using, defining the usage of and writing code to configure and deploy cloud security features in AWS (or another cloud provider, able to quickly acquire knowledge and experience in AWS)
· Experience in identifying and quantifying security issues and risks, and developing and driving mitigation plans
· Experience in all of the following areas: threat modeling, code reviews, and security assessment, for example penetration testing

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in delivering significant security improvements to large, complex systems
