As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for a number of teams delivering the system and business-critical features that add customer value on top of Voice & Messaging.
Providing the leadership and management, driving process, technical and architectural best practices to deliver high quality, secure, performant services, will be part of your day to day job.
Using a variety of technologies, appropriate for each requirement, but always hosted on AWS, we build added value and resilient services on top of voice and fully integrate with our customers’ business critical tools (CRM, Helpdesk, E-Commerce, …).

Your mission @ Aircall

  • Develop, execute and maintain information security policies, standards, guidelines and evangelise a security first mindset throughout the engineering department
  • Ensure the continued growth of the team through coaching, mentoring and identifying situational opportunities for our existing engineers and by hiring new talent
  • Work with other Engineering Managers to ensure identification and timely resolution of security and privacy issues as part of our Engineering processIdentify knowledge gaps and develop engineering-wide training to increase security awareness of relevant information security practices, protocols and procedures
  • Provision open-source/third-party tools to assist in detection, prevention, and analysis of security threats
  • Manage investigations of any actual or potential information security risks or breaches, and develop mitigating plans and coordinate the incident response
  • Provide leadership within the design, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of the overall system and its key modules
  • Stay up to date on current and future security technology and trends and acts as a key advisor to align business and security

A little about you:

  • 5+ years experience working as an engineering leader where you have been both responsible and accountable for 2+ teams of 4+ engineers each, and their deliveries.
  • Additionally you will have have at least 8+ years of experience within engineering with a focus on delivering for security, scalability, availability, and performance
  • Provide technical leadership across multiple teams to ensure that we meet the highest security standards, manage debt and legacy code with business, technical risk mitigationYou possess effective and proactive communication skills, and can collaborate with different profiles and roles, from junior to senior, tech to business.
  • You are used to working in Agile teams and look for and implement  continuous improvement, but you also appreciate good process and quality assurance in mitigating risk and improving quality.
  • Knowledge of designing a comprehensive security program for SaaS applications and corporate environments (security assessments, PEN Tests, Risk Management, Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management)
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud platform, disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies, endpoint  security solutions, including file integrity monitoring and data loss prevention
  • You are rigorous with code quality and other engineering best practices (testability, maintainability), and are accustomed to using systems such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab, GitPrime, etc.
  • You invest your technical and interpersonal experience to mentor juniors and include other engineers in your actions.

  • ISO, SOC2, PCI/DSS or HIPAA certifications knowledge
  • Legal background around data privacy / GDPR
