Help us protect all Amazon customers, from Amazon Fresh to Fulfillment Centers. We are looking for a security-focused frontend engineer who wants to make a difference to ensure that protecting customer data is at the forefront of all development.
Key job responsibilities
You will work on a team of talented software developers and security engineers who build software to help all Amazon builders design secure systems and threat model. You will be challenged by scale and latency constraints as you build features that delight your users, and you will learn about and integrate with critical systems across Amazon. We believe in experimentation, iterating quickly, and getting feedback from our customers.

This team builds tools used by all Amazonians to help them design secure systems, helping them threat model and make secure design choices.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Austin, TX, USA | New York, NY, USA | Seattle, WA, USA
- 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
