About the Role:
Twitch is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our Security Engineering (SecEng) team. Reporting to the SecEng manager as a part of the greater Security Engineering Organization, our team's mission is to empower Twitch communities to build securely. We are a new team looking for people that enjoy diving deep on technical details, driving down vulnerabilities, and providing tools as products to uplift Twitch's security posture. As a Senior Security Engineer on SecEng, you will provide technical direction, oversight, and execution guidance for several of the team's ongoing projects. As a leader on the team, you'll guide your team's engineers when they're not sure how to do something, or which technology option best suits a project. You'll help create our new Vulnerability Management program and establish a vision around Security third-party tooling. We do not expect expertise in all of the team responsibility areas, but we do expect you to be fluent with almost all of them and demonstrate technical expertise in several. You Will:
· Lead the technical vision and roadmapping for the team
· Identify and deploy security tools and systems to solve capability challenges
· Work with partners teams to help accomplish Twitch Security's overall strategy
· Participate in an on-call rotation that includes your peers on SecEng
· Provide career and technical mentorship to your teammates
· Lead design and code reviews
· Recognize, adopt and instill best practices in security engineering fields throughout the organization

Basic Qualifications

You Have:
· 5+ years of demonstrated experience with focus in areas such as systems, network, operations, software development, or security
· Experience working with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
· Experience providing tooling used by other engineers

Preferred Qualifications

Bonus Points:
· You understand essential security concepts.
· You've run a Vulnerability Management Program before.
· You've worked with Splunk and understand its inner workings.
· You understand how to work with data
· You have experience in at least one of the following languages: Go, Ruby, Java, C++, Python
