Resource Innovations is seeking a Security Engineer to join our growing team in Chicago, IL. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft Compliance to join our dynamic team. The Security Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement, maintain, and improve security and compliance measures, particularly in the context of Microsoft technologies and solutions. This role will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating security risks while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls specific to Microsoft environments.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance issues related to Microsoft technologies.
  • Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to remediate identified issues and track progress.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft compliance standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents related to Microsoft solutions and take appropriate action.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of security solutions for Microsoft Office 365, Azure, and other Microsoft products.
  • Participate in incident response activities and provide expertise in addressing Microsoft-related security incidents.
  • Evaluate third-party security solutions and tools that enhance Microsoft compliance and security.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Microsoft compliance during internal and external audits.
  • Train and educate internal teams on Microsoft compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other security engineers and teams to ensure a holistic and comprehensive security posture.
  • On-site Technology support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, MCSE) is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Security Engineer with a focus on Microsoft Compliance, including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft security and compliance offerings.
  • Familiarity with industry compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and NIST.
  • Proficiency in configuring and securing Microsoft Office 365, Azure, and Active Directory.
  • Experience with security assessment tools and vulnerability scanning.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A commitment to staying current with evolving security threats and technologies.
