Job Description:
The IT Systems Security Administrator will be responsible for securing our computing systems and establishing a secure remote work environment for our staff. This role involves setting up and managing a company VPN, implementing security measures, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting security-related issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT security and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, configure, and manage the company's VPN
• Implement and maintain software and hardware security systems
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot security issues
• Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems for remote staff
• Perform regular system upgrades to implement the latest security measures
• Plan and manage disaster recovery procedures related to security breaches
• Provide technical support and guidance to users on security protocols
• Maintain documentation of configurations, repairs, and upgrades
• Conduct regular system audits to identify potential security risks
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure secure and efficient operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role with a focus on IT security.
• Experience with VPN setup and management, databases, networks, and patch management.
• Knowledge of system security, data backup/recovery, and privacy protocols.
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent in English
• Fluent in either Spanish or Portuguese
