About the Role

As a Cybersecurity Consultant you will be a member of our New Zealand Cybersecurity Advisory Practice located in Wellington and will work with the ITSM Team. Our ITSM Consultants are trusted advisors with a strong focus on planning and delivery of Managed Security Service where there are security related matters such as Security Governance, Security Advisory, Security Risk Management, Security Reporting and Security Awareness Training.

You will work with new and existing customers to understand their business, their security requirements and help lead them to an outcome that delivers value and ensures their ongoing success.

What you’ll do

  • Work closely with the client CISO/vCISO in the delivery of the client cybersecurity strategy, including the planning and implementation of cybersecurity activities which improves the client’s cybersecurity posture
  • Lead the delivery of operational cybersecurity activities to the client
  • Analysis of customer environments against IT security best practice or standards such as NZISM, ISO27001 or NIST and identification of appropriate measures that can be undertaken to achieve best practice and compliance
  • Assist in the development and the delivery of the information security awareness training program for client and Datacom personnel, as required
  • Develop technical information materials and workshops on information security trends, threats, good practices, and control mechanisms as appropriate
  • Assist the clients in responding to internal and external audit assessments

What you’ll bring

  • Knowledge to a high degree of Cybersecurity in a Professional Services Environment and be able to converse with a diverse range of customer and company staff and be a thought leader in their field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years professional services experience in the delivery of security solutions to customers
  • Design and implementation experience with a wide range of customers, technologies and architectures
  • Knowledge of risk methodologies and frameworks
  • Audit activities (internal or external)
  • Disciplined approach to governance
  • Risk Management background
  • CISA, CISM, or CRISC certification is preferable and will be given priority

Due to the nature of this particular role - You MUST be either a New Zealand Citizen/Resident/Relevant Work Visa and/or have the ability to clear additional security clearance (Five Years in Five Eyes).
