Twilio is seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our Security Incident Response Team (SIRT).  The SIRT is responsible for monitoring, detecting, responding to, and remediating threats and malicious activity across our enterprise. This role will be responsible for managing and remediating security incidents, serve as an escalation point to more junior incident responders, and assists the manager with ensuring the team is trained and ready to manage security incidents. You will partner closely with other functions within Trust & Security, such as Threat Intelligence, Enterprise Crisis Management, Threat Hunt, and Security Engineering. This role will play an important part of continuing to scale our security functions as Twilio grows.

 

Who?

Twilio is looking for someone who lives the Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record of success as a member of security operations teams. They also have:

  • 4+ years experience in the Information Security field, with at least 2 years conducting incident response.
  • Knowledge of incident response frameworks and processes
  • Proficiency with use of a SIEM and other security tool solutions
  • Proficiency with one high-level programming or scripting language
  • Strong understanding of threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures
  • Experience using the MITRE ATT&CK framework to improve security incident detection and response
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Comfort owning and driving time-sensitive incident response investigations to conclusion

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Twilio's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado. 

Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well.

Salary:

Denver / Boulder Metro:

$ 90,752 - $124,784

Rest of Colorado:

$79,408 - $109,186

Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
