Leading the Emburse DevSecOps team, you will play an instrumental role in risk identification, assessment and remediations, reporting, and effective challenge of Vulnerability Management as well as Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, and various technical control.  
This role represents a unique opportunity to combine hands-on technical and operational experience with a risk-based and strategic outlook to provide effective oversight of enterprise Vulnerability Management and DevSecOps capabilities. This individual will provide subject matter expertise, oversight, and effective challenge of key Vulnerability Management and DevSecOps areas such as Vulnerability Identification, Prevention, Scanning, Prioritization, Reporting, Remediation, and Controls.

What you'll do:

  • Play a lead role in identifying areas of cyber risk to provide oversight, analysis, effective challenge, and risk-informed expert advice and recommendations
  • Provide technical assessments of DevSecOps policies, procedures, controls design, and effectiveness
  • Leads a team of DevSecOps engineers, providing guidance and as well as clear expectations and follow ups to employees
  • Reporting to senior management and other stakeholders, status on current on future regulatory and compliance issues
  • Stay current on emerging cyber threats and potential implications to the firm
  • Strong experience of implementing and repairing AWS environments
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and leaders across multiple organizations to achieve cross functional objectives
  • Knowledge of fundamental networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Lead technical discussions with other departments on enterprise wide projects
  • Programming skills (any language)
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as code
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, technical environment with direct reports, some of whom may work off site
  • Manages and mentors direct reports
  • Ability to measure team performance through standardized key performance indicators.
  • Other duties as assigned

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM field
  • Minimum of 7 years’ combined experience in engineering/management roles
  • Deep understanding of self-healing concepts and has successfully implemented these strategies elsewhere
