Job Description

Visa’s Technology Organization is a community of problem solvers and innovators reshaping the future of commerce.   We operate the world’s most sophisticated processing networks capable of handling more than 65k secure transactions a second across 80M merchants, 15k Financial Institutions, and billions of everyday people.   While working with us you’ll get to work on complex distributed systems and solve massive scale problems centered on new payment flows, business and data solutions, cyber security, and B2C platforms.

Essential Functions:

· Communicate container requirements with engineering and product teams to discuss polices related to containerized applications.

· Understanding of micro-service design and architectural patterns and familiar with complex event processing and event-driven architecture

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

· 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
· 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
· At least 3+ years of experience working with Kubernetes and Docker
· Understanding on open-source CNCF projects
· Strong understanding in Kubernetes DevOps and CI/CD implementation for containerized applications using Jenkins and similar technologies
· Thorough knowledge of cloud-native development, pod security policies, namespace management is required
· Experience with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
· Experience with container orchestration technologies Kubernetes
· Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio, TSB
· Experience with EKS/GKE
· Experience with administration capabilities with good understanding of containerization (Docker) & cloud (Openshift & Kubernetes), and their associated management challenges and possible solutions
· Experienced in building automated solutions through tools and software that enable infrastructure to be remotely provisioned, configured and decommissioned
· Strong analytical skills, able to work independently to solve complex engineering problems.
