The 84.51° Security Team partners with all areas of the business to enable innovation while ensuring appropriate security policies, designs and practices are developed, implemented, enforced, and kept relevant. This position focuses on developing a secure Software Development Life Cycle, instilling security best practices into development and data science processes and supporting/enabling security-by-design and privacy-by-design practices with our business partners.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Drives the “shifting left” of security processes in collaboration with development and operations teams.

·       Develops and implements security policies, procedures, and standards.

·       Develops and integrates governance processes with risk management framework.

·       Provides process enhancements for security tools, enabling Security Business Operations.

·       Moves the needle, matures the organization’s security posture, making it easy to do the right thing.

·       Ensures all applications and systems are compliant with relevant security standards and regulations.

·       Cross-trains, mentors other members of the team.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

·       Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field.

·       Minimum of 7 years of experience working successfully to build security into development processes. 

·       Experience with evaluating and developing controls, quality gates, etc. for development/deployment pipelines.

·       Working knowledge and application of security best practices in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

·       Hands-on experience with design and securing APIs, systems, services in cloud environments.

·       Experience pushing the security narrative with partnering teams.
