Ring is seeking a qualified Detection Engineer to drive processes, analytics, and automation that maintain our infrastructure. You will build automated analytics, curate threat intelligence, as well as investigate, respond to, and escalate potential issues through anomaly detection with cross-functional service teams.

Responsibilities:
· Enhance and continuously improve SIEM tools and capabilities through automation and advanced query logic.
· Evaluate or create new technologies and services in order to solve complex security issues.
· Work cross-functionally with service teams to develop cohesive methods of anomaly detection.
· Provide back-up support to the Incident Response team when necessary to provide rapid, real time, and ad-hoc support.

Basic Qualifications


· 3+ years of experience writing python code.
· 3+ years of experience leveraging advanced Splunk or similar data platforms for analysis and detection of events or issues.
· 3+ years of experience developing forensics, analytics, insights, or similar solutions leveraging both code and data skillsets.

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
· History of leveraging machine learning models for anomaly detection.
