Job Description

The CISO organization has a diverse portfolio of global projects and programs that are delivering technology, process and organizational change against a defined, multi-year strategy. The Cybersecurity Project Portfolio Sr. Manager will be responsible to the CISO for delivery excellence across this portfolio. This role will define and execute robust controls to manage the health of this portfolio and serve as the liaison between senior stakeholders and the project teams, working closely with senior leaders, technical subject matter experts, and project and program governance personnel to address issues and risks threatening the outcomes of the projects.  

This role seeks an individual with demonstrable experience managing a large portfolio of complex global projects including technology implementations and cybersecurity initiatives. The portfolio manager will be responsible for defining, implementing and continuously improving a robust methodology for governance. The Portfolio Manager will identify key value drivers and define metrics to inform performance and create a clear, coherent approach to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution, and control.  

This role will drive cohesion across the portfolio, identifying shared objectives, potential conflicts and common risks and issues and work with project and program teams to design plans for optimizing outcomes across the portfolio. 

The portfolio manager will be responsible for designing and executing plans for managing the impact to the enterprise from the programs in the portfolio. The role will work with key stakeholders to identify people, technology and process impacts to the enterprise that can hinder the desired benefits of the programs and collaborate on effective strategies to manage change. 

Synthesizing and communicating timely, balanced insights into and assurance on the health of the portfolio, collaborating with senior stakeholders on the prioritization of portfolio, tracking the scope, budget, and enforcing rigor around managing change will be amongst the key responsibilities.  

Duties include: 

  • Establishing and operating controls and reporting standards for projects and programs within the portfolio. 

  • Identifying key value drivers and defining metrics to inform portfolio performance  

  • Establishing robust budget management across the portfolio and working with Finance and project teams to monitor 

  • Delivering verbal and written reporting to senior leadership 

  • Building familiarity with the individual initiatives needed to represent them to senior leadership 

  • Creating clear, coherent approaches to guide effective program/project setup, execution, and control 

  • Continuously monitoring and improving portfolio governance methodology 

  • Integrating knowledge of end-to-end business process into program planning and decisioning processes 

  • Serving as the leader over large scale programs that focus on implementation across multiple business towers in cooperation with global security senior leadership to meet deliverable targets 

  • Monitoring and tracking initiatives within portfolio for quality of governance 

  • Program execution and escalating program risks impacting project delivery to appropriate stakeholders; ensuring mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary 

  • Leading the identification and driving resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work 

  • Supporting Project Managers and Program Managers during the analysis and planning stages 

  • Driving adherence to processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery and leveraging across programs 

  • Ensuring consistent implementation of common PMO standards, reporting, and closure process across programs 

  • Contributing to strategic planning and coordinating with stakeholders to develop portfolio roadmaps and budgets 

  • Transitioning strategic milestones and initiatives into programs and projects for delivery teams to execute 

  • Developing and managing portfolio-level metrics and reporting, documentation, and artifacts 

  • Coordinating and reporting project portfolio health, trend analysis for plan and budget including annual planning, quarterly/monthly forecasts, etc. 

  • Acting as a liaison among cybersecurity stakeholders, business unit functional areas, and project delivery teams to ensure effective coordination among participating groups 

  • Facilitating communications among program participants to expedite processes and to resolve issues and problems 

  • Driving transformational change and working on a variety of projects across enterprise efforts 

  • Leading development of business cases to support large projects and programs 

  • Overseeing program and project managers and their efforts to develop and implement systems and processes which result in operational efficiencies 

  • Leading the execution of assigned strategic initiatives; assessing and adapting as needed to ensure quality of execution and total ownership  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management or Information Systems or relevant field 

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience managing large, complex goals driven portfolios  

  • Experience managing complex enterprise technology programs. Experience managing cloud technology initiatives is required 

  • Experience managing business transformation initiatives  

  • Project, Program, and Portfolio Management certification such as PfMP, PgMP, and PMP highly preferred 

  • Business-fluent written and spoken English language skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively tailor communication of technically complex issues to various audiences 

  • Experience working with and reporting to C-Suite leadership 

  • Working knowledge of scrum of other agile methodologies 

  • Strong knowledge of multiple project management methodologies and tools 

  • Process driven with an eye for detail and efficiency to improve programs/processes 

  • Experienced with use of collaboration tools such SharePoint, Confluence and Salesforce 

  • Strong presentation skills 

  • Strong vendor management skills 

  • Strong organizational skills 

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills 

  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills 

  • Strong leadership, team building, and influencing skills 

  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage resources in a cross-functional environment 

  • Ability to interact with senior executives at all levels 

  • Confidence and persuasiveness 

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800-53, and ISO27001 standards is a plus 

  • Professional information security certification, such as CISSP, preferred but not required

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above.  Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and education.  This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off including paid parental and family care leave, an employee stock purchase plan and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
