Our security engineers work hand-in-hand with our developers to enable them to deliver the most secure product possible. By continuously keeping security in the forefront of everything that we do at Lambda, we strive to continuously improve our security model for our customers every day. Our security engineers work in areas such as data management, low latency security, identity & access management, hardware, virtualization, sandboxing, and other related computer technology areas.

AWS Lambda functions enable hundreds of thousands of current customers to run code for virtually any type of application or backend service - all with zero administration. Basic Qualifications


·
· Either 5+ years relevant security engineering work experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following degree programs: Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Informatics, or related academic degrees
· 2+ years of professional work experience in one or more of these areas: security engineering, Linux kernel programming, systems programming, or hardware virtualization
· Experience with threat modeling or other risk identification techniques
· Experience in driving organizational change or improvements by enabling software developers in their daily activities
· Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Rust, Go, Java, or C
· Able to work in a diverse team

Preferred Qualifications

·
· A Master’s degree in one of the following degree programs: Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Informatics, or related academic degrees
· Experience in process automation, hardware design, penetration testing, or custom Linux sandboxes
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent leadership skills and teamwork skills
· CISSP or cybersecurity related certifications
