Passionate about information security? Looking to develop your skillset within a fast growing and entrepreneurial Fintech organisation?

Based out of Bristol, or any of our UK hub offices, this is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Information Security enthusiast to join us to lead Gresham’s information security programme.

About Us

A career at Gresham provides a unique blend of agility, innovation, empowerment and warmth. We’re well established with global clients and admired products meaning you can feel secure and confident about your future. But we still retain the agility and intimacy of a small business meaning you can influence change and see the impact of your ideas. We limit hierarchy and are big on collaboration, so you’ll be challenging and stretching yourself every day, working with leading edge technologies that help improve integrity and accuracy in the financial services sector. You’ll feel at home in our friendly, supportive, people-centric culture where we work towards common goals, not individual interests.

Gresham helps global businesses connect, reconcile and control their data, systems and processes. And in doing so, we deliver something that is vital to modern business; data confidence. We’re passionate about delivering successful outcomes for our customers and employees, as well as our industry and our community.

About the role

You will be responsible for advancing Gresham’s information security strategy in support of business objectives and recommending and implementing security systems and processes, thereby delivering significant value to Gresham, our customers and other stakeholders. .

You will lead our small yet highly effective information security team, providing specialist security advice and recommendations, being actively involved in implementations, and always adopting a high quality, pragmatic and can-do attitude to your work. Conducting security risk assessments and advising on effective countermeasures, you will ensure compliance with applicable information security standards and requirements and support scope expansions. You will act as a security champion across our global organisation, and you will collaborate closely with other teams, customers and suppliers. You will have responsibilities across a wide variety of information security areas, such as incident management, application security, cloud security and security monitoring.

Requirements

You will already be working in an information security role and ideally you will have a degree level qualification or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Security, and preferably an information security certification. You will have a strong technical understanding, practical hands-on experience of implementing security tools and systems, as well as knowledge of ISO27001 and other relevant industry security standards.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to deliver effective outcomes within a dynamic and fast changing organisation, influencing and inspiring colleagues and senior stakeholders, and be willing to get fully immersed into projects and implementations. As a lateral thinker, you will be able to dissect a problem and diagnose a root cause. With great communication skills and a process-driven approach, you are a consummate professional and have impeccable integrity.

Any experience gained in Financial Services would also be a bonus.

Benefits

Our culture and everything we do is underpinned by our values; We Embrace Difference, We Create Together and We Champion Success. We value different backgrounds, experience, expertise and ways of thinking. We encourage curiosity, and respect every individual, recognising that everyone has the potential to bring something extraordinary to Gresham to make it a great place to work. And as you’d expect we offer health, wealth and happiness benefits typically associated with a Fintech organisation as well as a flexible approach to working.
