Senior Consultant Architect

Definitive Logic is seeking a Senior Consutant Architect to join our team. This position is contingent upon award. Remote with some travel to Huntsville AL.

The Senior Consultant Architect position will provide the technical expertise to guide the application rationalization project and deliverables.  This includes working with the customer to baseline its current application rationalization processes to include 1) templates, 2) application profiles, 3) application discovery and analysis, 4) governance, 5) performance metrics, 6) business process mapping to applications, 7) engineering concepts to refactor, replace, return, rehost, retire or re-use applications 8) design concepts for future landing zones for new applications (e.g., cloud).  Working with other team members, the Senior Consultant Architect will apply DL methods to help the customer improve their application portfolio management capabilities and strategy for 50 applications. The SC Architect will be responsible for excellent senior-level C-Suite relationships and the client’s success.  This interface will occur daily. 

 

This role requires expertise and skills in consulting, application modernization, cloud migration, cyber security in DoD and modernization roadmap development.

Specific responsibilities include:

·       Meeting with and setting priorities with the client.

·       Assessing the customers’ application rationalization (AR) and portfolio management processes (PM)

·       Enhancing AR and PM processes with modern and industry best practices.

·       Lead DL and customer teams to inventory and categorize 50 applications.

·       Perform a technical analysis of the applications to understand their modernization ability.

·       Work with teams to map business processes to the applications.

·       Work with teams to calculate TCO and business value of applications.

·       Perform engineering on the applications to produce a roadmap for modernization.

·       Perform engineering concepts for new landing zones for application modernization.

·       Apply cloud concepts to modernize applications.

·       Prepare a roadmap for the implementation of a future state.

·       Preparing reports and presentations on the current state and recommended future state

·       Researching and tailoring best practices to the customer’s needs

·       Being a lead contributor of insight and content to deliverables.

·       Creating a positive team customer-focused culture on the DL team

·       Ensuring a culture of partnership and trust with the customer and DL team.

·       Being a leader when needed and being a cheerleader or person in the stands.

·       Knowledge and understanding of the following application processes.

o   Application architecture

o   Cloud

o   Application modernization concepts – low code/no code, microservices
