Job Description

A day in the life of an Information Security Specialist

As an Information Security Specialist, you will cooperate with the agency's ICT Security Team, to use technical knowledge on several security technologies to analyse and respond to security threats from various security platforms and technologies.

Your main duties will be:

• Increase the security automation processes via playbooks and machine learning heuristics for both alerts and incidents

• Analyse and respond to increased security threats by way of agency security platforms and technologies

• Respond in a timely manner (within documented SLA) to configuration, maintenance, incident management, and other requests

• Perform threat hunting using network and endpoint logs, where strong network and OS skills are necessary

• As required update Protective Monitoring/SOC documentation, processes and procedures and ensure currency

• Support the documentation/definition of the SSDLC roadmap

Qualifications

If you have experience with:

• Information Security Management
• Palo Alto Cortex XDR
• Palo Alto XSOAR
• playbook development in Security Orchestration, Automation and Response systems
• Splunk
• Advanced analysis in the cyber security area
• XQL language
• Windows operating systems in enterprise environments
• Write policies and procedures
• Using sandboxes
• Advanced solving ICT security incidents
• MISP Threat Sharing
• Digital forensics
• Linux operating systems
• A scripting language (for example, Python)
• Firewalls
• CTFs and cyber ranges (for example, BTLO, HackTheBox)
• Information security and data security
• TCP/IP networking
