What does the team do
We are a diverse team with disparate skills and experience but with a common passion for all aspects of information security. We are responsible for all aspects of information security across the whole organisation, including overall governance, policies, compliance programs, risk assessments, education, incident and security tool management.
The team is mostly made up of analysts, who are responsible for investigating security alerts from a diverse range of systems, we analyse security & log data, malicious code and network traffic to identify potential threats.
What would I be doing?
We’re looking for someone who will work alongside our analysts to manage, coordinate and track the teams work & incidents, responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Manage the penetration testing program, liaising with software development teams, penetration testing teams and cloud service providers.
- Coordinate regular activities such as vulnerability scans and remediation actions.
- Track security incidents, security assessments and actions from security audits.
- Data analysis and security KPI reporting.
- Respond to Infosec queries and support requests.
- Investigate security alerts and respond to security incidents
What we are looking for
Whilst this role is on a 12 month fixed term contract, we’re looking for someone who will be able to come into the team and grow and develop their skills with Information Security, we’d love to hear from people who have:
- A good understanding of Information Technology and a strong desire to develop a career in Information Security.
- Technically literate with a good knowledge of Excel and other desktop tools, including G Suite.
- A proactive approach, able to work on multiple parallel activities in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to define and execute a program of work
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
This would make you stand out from the crowd:
- Experience within an Information Security Operations team
- A degree or relevant qualification in Information Security
