The AWS Government Regions team is looking for an experienced Sr. Technical Program Manager to join our fast-paced organization to build innovative AWS customer solutions in support of the new U.S. Department of Defense Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework. As a technical program manager for CMMC, you will have exciting opportunities to shape, define, and deliver transformational AWS solutions to help our customers accelerate their CMMC compliance.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and currently possess and maintain an DoD clearance (up to TS/SCI)

As the AWS CMMC Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will:
· Collaborate with engineering and business teams across AWS to develop CMMC solutions that address customer needs and align with CMMC levels 1 through 5 certification requirements
· Work closely with customers and partners as they deploy AWS solutions to address their CMMC requirements for their sensitive and highly regulated workloads
· Influence our AWS CMMC solutions technical strategy/roadmap through collaboration with Defense Industrial Base (DIB) customers, partners, industry associations, DoD CMMC program office, and CMMC – Accreditation Body (AB) to understand emerging requirements and trends.
· Drive process and technology improvements to accelerate customer adoption and reduce their level of effort and risk to achieve CMMC certification
To succeed, the candidate needs to be motivated by putting customers first, they understand what customers need and don’t rest until we deliver it. They are detail-oriented with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills. They learn from mistakes and love working with really smart people. They have a solid understanding of product/project management fundamentals (e.g. business case, risk management, schedule management, and negotiation). They are comfortable briefing senior leadership, even when you have bad news and can communicate effectively with business and technical teams both verbally and in writing.

Basic Qualifications


· 5+ years of experience in product management or technical program management at a Cloud Service Provider, technology/software firm, systems integrator, or US Government agency
· 5+ years experience with enterprise scale cloud computing deployment and the U.S. Defense Industrial Base
· 3+ Years experience with CMMC, DFARS, FedRAMP, DOD SRG, ITAR, NIST, or other compliance/security program requirements for Defense Industrial Base contractors and U.S Dept. of Defense systems.
· 5+ Years experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules
· BS degree or higher (ideally in a technical field such as computer science or engineering)
· Able to work in a diverse team

Preferred Qualifications

· Demonstrated ability to deliver technology products/services in a high growth environment where priorities shift fast
· In depth knowledge on DoD CMMC framework processes, practices, levels, and certification process
· Strong technical competency and experience in the areas of cloud computing, web services, and enterprise software across the Defense Industrial Base
· Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence decisions and solutions at any level of an organization
· Ability to analyze quantitatively and scope business requirements
· Ability to own and internalize goals and create appropriate action plans
· Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
· Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
· MS degree in a technical field or MBA
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
