Mission Summary:

Motional is seeking an IT Cybersecurity Engineer to support Enterprise Cybersecurity operations. 

As an IT Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be an integral member of Motional’s Enterprise Security team, which is responsible for securing the Motional’s IT infrastructure and services. Enterprise Cybersecurity protects Motional’s computing assets while enabling our autonomous vehicle engineers to rapidly undertake research and development of self-driving vehicles and supporting systems. This position is broad and will provide the candidate exposure to many facets of Information Security and Compliance. The position requires hands-on experience in security engineering, administration of security technologies, asset security, communications, and network security, security assessments, and security compliance.

The Motional Pittsburgh office is located in the new Hazelwood Green development, a culmination of the city’s goal of restoring an economic driver to the neighborhood in a thoughtful, inclusive, and sustainable way. With views along the Monongahela river, the Pittsburgh office is in the heart of this new state of the art development.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Research, design, and implement cyber security solutions for organization systems and products that comply with all applicable security policies and standards
  • Assist in the review and update of cyber security policies, architectures and standards
  • Independently evaluate security controls used to protect Motional’s IT resources and systems and suggest enhancements. 
  • Assist in security risk management initiatives, internal security assessments, vendor security risk assessments, and external security audits. 
  • Deploy, administer, and operate security solutions such as EDR, DLP, and email security solutions. 
  • Analyze security systems and seek improvements continuously. 
  • Works with IT and internal and external business partners to ensure that security is factored in the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration process of hardware and software
  • Function as a key member of the Enterprise Cybersecurity team working with a wide variety of other technical groups, including Product Cybersecurity and engineering teams

What We're Looking For:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Information Technology or Equivalent Knowledge and Work Experience
  • 3+ years of full-time experience in Information Technology implementation, maintenance, and support. 
  • 1+ years of full-time, hands-on experience in an IT Cybersecurity position. 
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge with Mac, Linux, and Windows operating systems
  • Experience implementing and administering with security tools (i.e. EDR, Email Security, etc.)
  • Ability to research and ascertain best-practices concepts relative to all aspects of both system environment and information security.
  • Problem analysis and resolution skills. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines while simultaneously working on multiple projects.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors including but not limited to specific skills, experience and expertise, role location, certifications, licenses, and business needs. The estimated compensation range listed in this job posting reflects base salary only. This role may include additional forms of compensation such as a bonus or company equity. Salary Range
$82,900$135,500 USD
