Twitch is looking for an Application Security Engineer with a desire to play on the Blue Team. Reporting to the Head of Application Security, our mission is to make Twitch's products as secure as they can be for our partners and viewers.

You will apply a holistic security perspective and guide Twitch's products and features from ideation to deployment. You will help teams to securely use 3rd party components, assist with our bug bounty program, and review code for adherence to security practices. Most importantly, you will apply automation to simplify this for you and our developers.

If you meet all of the requirements listed below we encourage you to apply. If you meet some of them but think this role sounds like something you'd be great at, we encourage you to apply. If you meet just one of them but think you bring something unique to the team, we encourage you to apply.

You Will:

  • Assess vulnerabilities in external code dependencies, and guide development towards a more secure state
  • Promote program improvements and cross-team collaboration in our bug bounty program
  • Participate in bug bounty rotation, guiding remediation and outcomes on bug bounty submissions
  • Discover weaknesses in Twitch by using diverse tactics including both manual and automated methods (code reviews, static scans, penetration tests)

You Have:

  • 2+ years relevant experience doing information security work or equivalent BS degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields
  • 1+ years of demonstrated application security experience
  • Knowledge of network and web protocols, and an in-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix tools and architecture
  • Software development proficiency (Go, Ruby, Python, Java, Kotlin, C#, Obj-C, or Swift)
  • Experience with cloud, host, network, and application security

Bonus Points

  • Background in DevOps on AWS platforms and services
  • Bug bounty program experience
  • Knowledge of internet security issues and threat landscape

Perks

  • Medical, Dental, Vision and Disability Insurance
  • 401(k), Maternity and Parental Leave
  • Flexible PTO
  • Commuter Benefits
  • Amazon Employee Discount
  • Monthly Contribution and Discounts for Wellness Related Activities and Programs (e.g., gym memberships, off-site massages)
  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Served Daily
  • Free Snacks and Beverages

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at Twitch. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
