Job Description

This profile will work in the premises of our customer (EU Institution), as a technical specialist in the domain of IT infrastructure engineering and operation who must have an ICT Security background as well as specific knowledge and experience among a good mix of the competencies detailed below:

General ICT Security

• Endpoint security systems including: antivirus software, host intrusion detection and prevention, vulnerability assessment, data encryption, honey-pot, hardening practices, data protection;
• Network concepts and the associated security solutions. In particular: Internet/Intranet/Extranet architectures, authentication systems, Firewall, Proxies, Network IDS/IPS, PKI, e-mail gateways, IP security, Remote access control;
• Log management and SIEM solutions, especially Splunk;
• Identity and Access management;
• Data protection and integrity: encryption, data loss prevention mechanisms;
• Implementing and managing technical security architectures, systems and software;
• Cryptographic protocols, PKI architectures and certificates lifecycle management.

Windows Administration and Security:

• Windows 7, 10 workstation configuration and hardening;
• Windows server (2012, 2016 and upcoming versions) deployment and hardening;
• Windows Active Directory management and Security;
• Powershell scripting and Security;
• Multiple Windows administration and management tools;
• Windows patching and maintenance;
• Logs collection, filtering, aggregation and processing.

Linux management and Security:

• Good knowledge of Red Hat and Satellite;
• Experience in Linux packages management and Security hardening;
• Experience in Linux workstations and servers management and monitoring (e.g. Cacti).

Virtual environments, network, storage management:

• Ability to deploy and manage hypervisors and virtual environments, in particular VMWare;
• Experience in high availability, disaster recovery, resilient infrastructures;
• Ability to configure the network, FWs, segmentation, monitoring;
• Experience in storage configuration and management (e.g. NAS, SAN, NetApp, FiberChannel);
• Experience in working in a datacentre and managing racks configuration.

The main tasks required by this profile are:

• Configure, harden and operate the ICT Security infrastructure components:
  • Deploy, harden and manage the various technologies and components used specifically for ICT Security needs;
  • Configure and manage local network aspects;
  • Plan and manage the storage;
  • Regularly review and improve the configurations;
  • Manage user accounts and rights;
  • Ensure that the Security events are properly monitored;
  • Manage changes in a structured and controlled way;
  • Regularly review and upgrade the configurations, apply regular patching.
• Support the capability development activities:
  • Perform technical watch, market review for identifying technologies best fitting customer needs;
  • Run proof of concepts, set up lab environments;
  • Produce assessment reports and studies for helping decision making.
• Draft documentation:
  • Infrastructure descriptions, network, racks, architecture diagrams;
  • Installation and operation manuals and guidance;
  • Processes and procedures.
• Interact on a daily basis with the other ICT operations teams (network, datacentre, applications and others).

Qualifications

If you have

• At least six years of professional relevant experience
• A  bachelor's degree in the ICT field
• Good knowledge of both written and oral English (independent user - B level, according to the Europass Language Passport classification) is mandatory. Good command of French is an asset

The following additional administrative, technical and management competencies are required for this profile:

• Ability to work with a minimum supervision and be committed to excellence and quality service delivery;
• Process-oriented mindset (e.g. ITIL, controlled change management);
• Ability to generate technical and procedural documentation;
• Be available for managing unplanned events and work under pressure, occasionally outside the normal working hours in case of severe security incidents;
• Good communication skills;
• Very good team player.
