Security Engineer

You'll get to work with a wide variety of partners and customers on a team that values input and learning.    WHAT YOU'LL DO  We need a Security Engineer to  join the Trust Office and assist with making sound, repeatable decisions, and implementing those ideas via mature process, policy, technology, and engagement with partner teams at Box. In addition, we need you to help the team better understand your areas of expertise and interest, and to share your knowledge in a collaborative environment that focuses on enabling the team to share their unique skills and perspectives.     We are focused on various technical areas that support Security efforts at Box. Some of those areas are:

• Vulnerability Management
• Host Security
• Web Application Frameworks
• Public Cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Containers
• Network Segmentation

You will also be responsible for:

• Gathering metrics to drive data driven decisions within the Trust Office
• Executing and delivering work towards long-term goals and initiatives to support Box's overall security posture
• Working closely with Engineering teams and Security Architects to validate the posture of new services and features
• Adapting to change and effectively organizing work according to business priorities
• The documentation of process and procedures

  WHO YOU ARE 

• You have 1-2 years of experience in the security industry or similar background
• You can identify owners and drive remediation of critical technical & security concerns
• You have an understanding of security endpoint monitoring solutions, the concepts and what it takes to ensure that Box is building secure systems
• You are collaborative with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• You are analytical, organized, know how to make a plan and execute it
• You have hands on experience with Python, Go or similar
