Experian is looking for a talented leader to continue maturing and implementing our cloud security strategy as a Director Cloud Security Strategic Programs within our Cybersecurity Engineering & Architecture group. 

The Director Cloud Security Strategic Programs will collaborate with the SVP of Cybersecurity Engineering & Architecture and related engineering leads to manage programs, budget, and service work across many teams to a consistent standard.  This role will drive delivery and program management to align teams to a comprehensive and transparent program plan and roadmap. 

In addition, this role will partner with the SVP of Cybersecurity Engineering & Architecture to ensure that work and budget is effectively planned, prioritized, and managed over time.  The director will provide a structure and practices for teams within the Engineering & Architecture group to leverage and plan their own work that feeds into the program. 

Finally, you will lead key strategic projects and programs as needed to drive the best outcomes for Experian. 

 

Duties include: 

  • Drive Experian’s multi-hybrid cloud security strategy with effective program management including successful execution and delivery of multiple active projects  

  • Establish and socialize work plans and a roadmap in collaboration with the SVP of Cybersecurity Engineering & Architecture 

  • Build a program reporting standard and artifacts for teams to follow 

  • Build planning and lead planning practices to maintain a continuous rolling program plan 

  • Leverage appropriate delivery methodologies to drive initiatives  

  • Maintain an ongoing budget aligned to program plan 

  • Drive key programs within the organization 

  • Maintain a practice of continual improvement 

  • Delivery verbal and written reporting to senor leadership 

  • Serve as the leader over large scale programs that focus on implementation across multiple areas in cooperation with global security senior leadership to meet deliverable targets 

  • Drive adherence to processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery and leveraging across programs 

  • Lead the identification and driving resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work 

  • Manage tracking and reporting toward closure of identified issues 

  • Contribute to strategic planning and coordinating with stakeholders to develop portfolio roadmaps and budgets 

  • Transition strategic plans and initiatives into programs and projects for delivery teams to execute 

  • Develop and manage program-level metrics and reporting, documentation, and artifacts 

  • Coordinate and reporting project portfolio health, trend analysis for plan and budget including annual planning, quarterly/monthly forecasts, etc. 

  • Acting as a liaison among cybersecurity stakeholders, business unit functional areas, and project delivery teams to ensure effective coordination among participating groups 

  • Lead development of business cases to support large projects and programs 

  • Oversee project managers and operational teams’ efforts to develop and implement systems and processes which result in operational efficiencies 

  • Lead the execution of assigned strategic initiatives; assessing and adapting as needed to ensure quality of execution and total ownership  

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Management or Information Systems or relevant field 

  • Project, Program, and Portfolio Management certification such as PgMP, PMP highly preferred 

  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience managing large, complex goals driven programs and projects 

  • Experience managing cloud development or cloud security implementations 

  • Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security Speciality, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals preferred, but not required 

  • Broad knowledge of cybersecurity technologies and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 

  • Professional information security certification such as CISSP preferred, but not required 

  • Experience managing complex program budgets 

  • Passion for improving planning and program management processes 

  • Demonstrated ability to present concise status from complex environments 

  • Technical depth to understand and manage programs of infrastructure work 

  • Ability to navigate priority pressure from multiple sources and affect strategies to rank work 

  • Business-fluent written and spoken English language skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively tailor communication of technically complex issues to various audiences.  

  • Process driven, and has eye for detail, and efficiency to improve programs/processes. 

  • Experienced with use of collaboration tools such SharePoint, Confluence and Salesforce. 

  • Strong presentation skills 

  • Working knowledge of scrum of other agile methodologies 

  • Strong knowledge of multiple project management methodologies and tools 

  • Strong vendor management skills 

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills 

  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills 

  • Strong leadership, team building, and influencing skills 

  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage resources in a cross-functional environment 

  • Ability to interact with senior executives at all levels 

  • Confidence and persuasiveness

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above.  Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and education.  This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off including paid parental and family care leave, an employee stock purchase plan and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
