About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Engineer to join our team. The Compliance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that our products and operations meet all relevant regulatory, contract requirements, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance regulations, experience working in a similar role, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that new products and processes comply with all applicable regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry associations to stay up-to-date with changing compliance requirements.
  • Analyze compliance data and make recommendations for improvements to processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement compliance training programs for employees.
  • Respond to compliance-related inquiries from customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Work with product development teams to ensure that new products comply with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging compliance trends and best practices.
  • Support regular audits of company operations to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and industry standards.

About you

[Minimum qualifications]

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a compliance engineering role, preferably in the technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements in Taiwan/Japan/USA/EU such as GDPR, CPRA, regional privacy law etc.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with the software development life cycle and experience in integrating compliance best practices throughout the process.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27701, SOC2, CSA Star, etc.

[Preferred qualifications]

  • ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification is a plus.
  • Information security certificate(CISM, CISSP) is a plus.
