Job Description

Are you a passionate, entrepreneurially minded and experienced cyber security engineer looking to secure systems that orchestrate global energy flows in a modern hybrid  infrastructure? Do you thrive in a flat hierarchy, team-oriented environment that values ideas and individual contributions? Then we are looking for you to join us at Vitol.  

As a member of the Cyber Security team, located in Geneva, Switzerland, you will: 

  • Join Vitol global security team 
  • Understand current and emerging security threats 
  • Participate actively into designing Vitol next generation hybrid security infrastructure 
  • Provide level 3 support on Vitol global IT infrastructure 
  • Act as SME with project teams and developers 
  • Provide operational support to enable a secure and flexible global computing environment. 
  • Assist in Incident Response investigations and mitigation 
  • Expect duty to occasionally expand beyond normal business hours 

Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent 
  • 3 to 5 years in a security engineering or penetration testing role 
  • Experience working in a modern hybrid security environment 
  • Entrepreneurial drive, ability to work independently as well as in a global team 
  • Proactive and RCA focused, “make it happen” mentality with a genuine interest in technical aspects 
  • Comfortable with FTS operations model 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Full proficiency communicating in English in a business context, verbally & in writing 
  • Attention to detail 

Additional Information

Additional qualifications – yet not mandatory – that may help you stand out 

  • SANS certificates or equivalent 
  • Cloud security expertise 
  • Technology-specific operational experience on EDR, Firewalls, Programming, Automation
