Our Cybersecurity department works diligently to ensure NielsenIQ’s software, hardware, and related components are protected from cyber-attacks. We’re constantly developing new security systems, analyzing current systems for vulnerabilities, and handling cyber-attacks in an efficient and effective manner worldwide.

Job Description

NIQ Cybersecurity is looking to develop our Cybersecurity Champion’s program’s Security Awareness program with the position of a Sr. Advisor. This key role is responsible for NIQ Cybersecurity’s security awareness and training program. The overall goal of this position is to reduce cybersecurity risk by ensuring all NIQ associates understand cybersecurity policies and apply the best practices in their day-to-day roles. Most importantly, we seek a team member to bring energy, excitement and passion to this role to help influence and build a cybersecurity focused culture. 

  • Collaboration with cybersecurity and technology leadership to define awareness program strategy,  

  • Development and maintenance of NIQ’s security awareness program that effectively fosters a culture of security and promotes desired behaviors, 

  • Phishing awareness campaigns to ensure NIQ employees and leadership are aware of current Phishing practices, 

  • Identification of the top human risks to the organization and help define mitigation strategies for those risks, 

  • Management of strategic initiatives (Cybersecurity Awareness Month) and operations in accordance with NIQ’s Cybersecurity Roadmap, 

  • Communication of NIQ’s Information Security policies, control standards, and requirements effectively so that employees know, understand, follow, and can operationalize them properly, 

  • Creation of targeted and Global communications on multiple security-related topics, and coordinate the distribution of content via NIQ Central, Yammer, and email, 

  • Maintenance of the Cybersecurity NIQ Central website 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Information Systems or research-related discipline or a minimum of 5+ years of direct Information Security experience 

  • 3+ years of direct experience in an Information Security role focused on security awareness and training 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas in a confident and well-organized manner through verbal, written, and/or visual means. 

  • Applies a basic knowledge of information security and risk mitigation principles, theories, and techniques in daily work. 

  • Advanced knowledge of industry accepted security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001/27002, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, PCI DSS, COBIT)
