Company Description

We are looking for a Security Architecture Analyst to support security consulting engagements across all NBCU businesses.

Security Analyst is an entry-level position that has the potential to progress toward a security engineer role in the Security Architecture organization. The ideal candidate is eager to learn about multiple cyber security & technical domains and is capable of independently researching information when needed. The responsibilities of the security analyst role include reviewing new security review requests for completeness, researching environments to determine if the proper security tools and visibility are in place, and assisting the security engineers on the team with research & documentation. 

Security architecture analysts will partner with business customers, information security officer team members, and security architecture team members, so strong communication and organizational skills are necessary.

Job Description

  • Ensuring completeness of security engagement requests as part of the intake process
  • Researching new/emerging technology, previous security reviews, and security posture details from various NBCU security tools
  • Engaging in Business IT development & integration projects to ensure security features and controls are embedded
  • Contributing to the security architecture review process, working alongside the Cyber Security Architecture Team to conduct threat analysis/modeling and recommend security controls to business areas
  • Guiding cybersecurity policy and process requirements to business stakeholders
  • Staying current with cyber security trends and technologies, as well as the technology used by the company

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is

  • A collaborative team member with a customer service mindset who can take and give constructive feedback
  • Interested in some cybersecurity training and eager to learn on the job
  • An excellent communicator with great presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Accountable and reliable; you do what you say and communicate issues and delays to manage delivery expectations.
  • Able to work with remote team members and work independently without heavy supervision - but can ask for help or clarification when needed.
  • Organized and professional, willing to take notes and help keep projects on track.
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously 

DIFFERENTIATING CHARACTERISTICS

  • A degree is not required, but experience or training in a technical, defensive cybersecurity function is highly desirable (i.e., cybersecurity engineer, incident response, etc.)
  • Project management training or experience
  • Familiarity with consumer data regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA)
  • Understanding of common Cloud Services (eg, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and associated security controls
  • Working knowledge of common threats to operating systems, networks, or applications
  • Experience performing threat analysis and modeling 
  • Programming experience or training in any object-oriented language
  • Experience using diagramming tools such as Lucidchart or Visio 
  • Basic understanding of at least one major security industry framework, like OWASP Top 10 or MITRE ATT&CK

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000.
