Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is looking for a talented Sr. IAM Engineer who will be responsible for maintainability, build and configuration of user identity & authentication services, single sign on (SSO). As senior technical staff, you will support different platforms for SSO, user authentication and identity & access management. 

User Identity and SSO platform provides critical services to customers, partners and enterprise users. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with highly innovative technologies. You will make a big impact in this highly visible role strengthening our identity services.

Your Impact 

  • Implementing and supporting the SSO, MFA and user access provisioning services
  • Provision, configure & support resilient cloud deployment architecture, keep it compliant with regulations like FedRAMP, make it more efficient
  • Manage scalability, capacity planning, redundancy, and resiliency
  • Maintain service availability and performance SLAs based on business and product requirements
  • Manage SSO/identity services vendor platforms specifically for multiple FedRAMP controlled environments, work with other Identity Platform engineers in deploying and maintaining services, capacity planning, create and review operational runbooks
  • Participate and contribute to periodic FedRAMP audit processes
  • Partner with IT and product teams for SSO and user registration integration
  • Develop and maintain API based micro services for customizing customer and partner registration
  • Contribute to documentation related to design, deployment, validation, operations and DR/BCP
  • Design proactive service monitoring, alerting and trend analysis of the services, and implement self healing

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting identity & access technologies, like ForgeRock, Okta, Ping Identity. ForgeRock is Preferred.
  • API development experience, preferably using Python or Java languages
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or technical stream with the equivalent combination of work experience required or equivalent military experience required
  • Very strong knowledge of SSO, MFA and user identity management domain
  • Understanding of SAML, OAuth, SCIM standards and protocols, awareness of implementation
  • Experience in configuring and supporting vendors products/tenants on SSO and MFA
  • Knowledge of directory services, preferably active directory
  • Familiarity with privileged access management platforms like Centrify, Cyberark
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple business units, such as IT application and infrastructure, product development teams, primarily integrating applications and users with identity services
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP controls and prior experience managing FedRAMP controlled environments is preferred
  • Strong technical writing skills to support required documentation
  • Passion, drive, energy, a sense of humor and a great attitude

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $112,200/yr to $181,500/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
