Job Description

Summary:

This information security engineer role is responsible for evolving and maturing insightsoftware’s global secure development lifecycle. A qualified candidate must have solid understanding of and practical experience with creating a secure development lifecycle. We are looking for an experienced information security professional who wants to be a security champion and make a significant impact at a growing company.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, communication, and global implementation of secure design principles.
• Consult product and development teams in application security, including threat modeling and appsec reviews.
• Support the proper and efficient use of application vulnerability testing tools and the prioritization of findings as well as report on status and progress.
• Support development teams with training and awareness around the secure development lifecycle.
• Review security events for context, applicability, and criticality and be an incident responder as needed.
• Assist with analysis and process improvement of identified security issues, taking initiative to create solutions.
• Respond to emergencies after hours as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an application security influencer role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Security or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with one or more scripting or programming languages.
• Experience with CI/CD-integrated Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (SAST) tools. 
• Strong understanding of secure design principles and OWASP.
• Experience threat modeling.
• Able to work well with software development teams.
• Excellent written/verbal communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands while working independently with minimal oversight.
• Preferred experience with AWS / Azure cloud security, Kubernetes, and containers.
