Security Operations Intern

The Security team in KAYAK is looking for an intern for the summer internship from June to Sept 2023. This position will be based in our Concord, MA office hybrid-remote. Internship will include real project based tasks and it is a great possibility to get hands-on experience with various security tools. Our team works closely with every team in KAYAK to ensure we are the most secure we can be.

Responsibilities

• Initial Incident Response triage

• Working with Crowdstrike, Splunk, Tenable

• Patching and vulnerability remediation 

• Reviewing scans and alerts

• Project based tasks with various security tools

• This position will be based in our Concord, MA office from June to Sept 2023 (Remote hybrid flexibility)
   

Basic qualifications

• College Junior-level Computer Science or programming skills

• Understanding of Linux and or Windows operating system

• Strong troubleshooting skills

Additional technical skills

• Server hardware

• Python language experience

• Networking experience
  
   

Soft skills

• Enthusiasm for code quality, rigor in testing.

• High energy, hungry to learn, not afraid to ask questions
