Position Description:Redhorse Corporation is currently seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team to play a major role in the architecture, development, maintenance, and use of project Cloud environment(s), CI/CD pipelines, and project automations for AI and Data Science heavy projects. The DevSecOps Engineer will be a senior expert who will guide, execute, and advise others in systems design and automation, create and maintain cloud configurations and software as well as Python code. The position may cover one or more internal and customer-facing projects. This position will be based in our National Capital Region offices in the Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington, VA, with opportunities for remote work to be determined by the program manager and customer.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain systems architectures and develop platforms and systems for DevSecOps and ML Ops operations within local, AWS, and Azure environments.
  • Provide technical expertise on, design develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines within local, AWS, and Azure environments.
  • Administer cloud infrastructure and systems.
  • Develop, collaborate on, and maintain Python code and automations.
  • Provide technical expertise and partner with fellow engineers, commercial, governmental, and academic partners to architect, design, and deliver infrastructure that can stand the test of scale and availability while reducing operational overhead.
  • Collaborate with security and operational teams to ensure success of security compliance and availability of the platform.
  • Understand the needs of development teams, support the solutioning of abstract problems, and ensure the success of delivering scalable and cutting-edge capabilities

Preferred Skills, Experience, Educations and Credentials:

  • Experience with DevSecOps principles for designing, developing, and delivering solutions using relevant automation and continuous security monitoring techniques.
  • Background in the DoD SRG Risk Management Framework (RMF) is a plus.
  • Background in Agile software development.
  • Cloud infrastructure and systems that may include:
  • SQL and no-SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Mango, Redis, Presto
  • Message busses such as RabbitMQ
  • Data and message routing such as Apache NiFi, Kafka,
  • Processing and development such as JupyterLab, Databricks, Spark, etc.
  • Static code testing such as SonarQube and Solenium
  • Cloud vendor specific solutions such as EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
  • Experience in standing up and running Ci/CD pipelines and tools and systems such as:
  • Jira, Bamboo, BitBucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Proven experience in running and maintaining multiple AWS enclaves. (Azure experience a plus.)
  • Experience with CloudOne, PlatformOne, Advana, or other DoD cloud environments a big plus.
  • Understanding of the competitive landscape in enterprise big data and machine learning platforms.
  • Be comfortable with hands on work in managing and transferring data and writing applicable code.
  • Interest or experience in applying machine learning to resource-constrained or communications-constrained devices.
  • Active DoD 8570 Certificate, e.g. Security+, CISSP a plus.

Skills, Experience, Educations and Credentials:

  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance up to the Top Secret/SCI level.
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a DevSecOps engineer, software developer, solution architect, or infrastructure engineer.
