AnaVation is seeking an Information Security Specialist to join our team and support our mission critical customer in Reston, VA. As our Information Security Specialist, you will support all Disaster Recover (DR) and Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) plans, preparation, and documentation including Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), testing, and will lead coordination of related activities with appropriate stakeholders. The Information Security Specialist will manage planning and coordination of IC-wide exercises for the IC CND community, as well as providing support to exercise development efforts. The Information Security Specialist will maintain an exercise knowledge base with emphasis on maintenance of continuity across exercise planning and execution. 

Required Qualifications

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience related to specific functional area
• Certifications: Currently hold, or be able to attain a CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
• Experience and knowledge on:
• Subject Matter Expertise in IC exercise planning and execution to maintain continuity with current exercise planning and execution
• Working collaboratively across cross-functional teams of all experience levels
• Supporting CND exercises to support training, readiness assessments, and continual process improvement
• Documenting plans of action and milestones for corrective action following assessment activities and in response to identified vulnerabilities
• Providing action reports, findings, and course of actions of remediation where applicable

Desired Qualifications

• Experience as Information Security Specialist, or comparable role, in support of intelligence community customer
• Security certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, SSCP, or equivalent certification
• Cloud certifications
• Exercise planning of large operations
• Excellent delivery of clear communications in written form
