 Secure the systems that secure the world’s data 

The Cohesity Information Security team is on a mission to enable the business to deliver on its goals, securely. Our security-obsessed operations analysts and engineers are focused on developing and operating security technology and processes that protect systems and data, identify threats and events, and effectively mitigate their impacts. As an Information Security Intern, you will be an individual contributor appling controls and practices that improve the security posture of a range of important systems that make our business go. The role will provide experience across a range of security functions through the hands-on operations of security tooling and processes. In this role, the Security Intern will directly contribute to both improvements in Security team operations and the overall security posture of the organization.  

We are a security-obsessed team that is passionate about getting ahead of threats and securing the business. We are looking to expand our team with innovative individuals that are excited as we are about reducing risk and improving security posture.

 

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE

  • You will gain real world experience across Security Operations domains.
  • You will build and operate tracking systems in order to improve effectiveness of team operations.
  • You will use vulnerability scanning and discovery tools to identify threats and weaknesses across systems in order to prioritize remediations and improve security posture.
  • You will monitor endpoint detection and response (XDR) and security incident and event management (SIEM) tools for detections and anomalies in order to identify threats and mitigate security event impacts.
  • You will identify operational, technological, and process improvements in order to apply continual improvements and improved security outcomes. 

WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Desire to explore career options in cybersecurity operations and engineering
  • Background and experience in computer systems, networking, storage, forensics, detection, response, ethical hacking, and related security domain
  • Ability to problem solve and apply strategy to tactical solutions

 

 

 

 

 

Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.US Pay Range$38.46—$48.08 USD
