KPMG's Management Consulting division is looking for individuals who are passionate about Architecture, Engineering, or security assurance and iRAP to join their growing Cyber Security team in Canberra at the Consultant, Senior Consultant, Manager, Associate Director and Director level on a permanent basis. These opportunities will require you to play an active role in growing KPMG's Cyber Security service line.

You will work closely with clients to evaluate their business strategy, understand their technology environment and provide recommendations to enable them to improve their ability to respond to Cyber risks and threats.

Your Opportunity

As an Associate Director in this team and as part of our cyber division you will ideally be part of one or four capability chapters: Security Assurance, Security Architecture and Engineering, Security Program Management, or Cyber Software Engineering, and will play a key role in:

  • Developing your consulting skills in a range of technology services such as IT Architecture, Engineering and IT security, security strategy, secure systems acquisition and process management (PMOs), security governance or security sourcing.
  • Assisting clients in managing cyber risks in a way that enhances their ability to meet business objectives, stakeholder expectations and compliance obligations.
  • Performing gap assessments between the security processes and operations of our clients against recognised global and domestic standards and regulations (e.g. ISM, PSPF, ISO27001, NIST).
  • Developing benchmarking reports to provide our clients with insight on where they stand when measured against relevant industry practices.
  • Improving our clients' understanding and management of risk in technology through designing and implementing effective controls over technology assets.

You ideally should hold an NV1 clearance or above, although we will consider candidates with lower or nil clearance with exceptional CVs, and the ability to gain clearance.

We offer a three-hub working model across client site, office and home.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Government security principles, the ISM, DSPF, PSPF, ISO27001 and NIST.
  • Solid presentation skills including an ability to articulate deeply complex technical issues to senior/executive/board level audience.
  • Proven relationship building and maintenance skills.
  • A background in IT consulting, IT audit, Risk Management or Cyber Security
  • Experience in sales, client delivery and team leadership with an ability to work across multiple teams, delivery groups and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in management consulting or an industry role working across geographies would be preferred.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification (preferably cyber, technology, Security studies, similar) and Post-grad qualifications such as CISM/CISSP.
